My Squirrel Friend

This young squirrel was happily eating at my deck feeder (12 feet off the ground).  I went out onto the deck, stood three feet from him, and talked to him.  He doesn't yet seem to know to be afraid of people.  I was careful not to scare him because he isn't a very coordinated climber yet.

This little fellow climbs up on my deck's bird feeders daily and proceeds to empty my largest house feeders.  The birds are afraid of him and fly when he is anywhere near.  My poodles love to chase him away.  I am pretty sure this is the best fed squirrel on the planet!
